Hi All,

It's been really pretty busy lately with work for Dr. Blaha, and normally when I've finished, I just have to get away from the computer. I hope you all understand.

Mike has been having some decent nights the past couple of nights. He's had his moments, but nothing that's kept him awake all night. I have had to give him the Rimydal a couple of times during the day though since the bladder spasms seem to be pushing out more granules.

Little Miss Gidget still doesn't realize that she's a year old. She's having fun being a puppy, and that's great... BUT the last two nights, she has quietly gone into the laundry room, peed and retreated to her room... no barks, yips, nothing to warn me that she had to go. I can't figure that one out.

Brandon was here this morning (no school today), so we took both the dogs for a ride and a walk in the park. Oh my gosh, they loved it.... especially Gidget, who has learned the word "R-I-D-E" and knows now how much fun it can be. This was her first time walking on the path in the park... she loved it. I've wanted to take her, but not knowing how she would behave, I didn't want to take both dogs at the same time, and I'd feel horrible taking her by herself without Mike.

So, I had Mike's leash and Brandon had Gidgets. Mike, of course, stopped every ten or fifteen feet to try to pee, so Brandon and Gidget always went ahead of us. When she realized we weren't right there behind them, she'd turn around and start running back toward us... good thing it's a retractable leash, or she would have choked herself. She's so funny.

We didn't run in to anyone out there today, so I'm not sure how she would react to seeing someone else or (God forbid) another dog. She really hasn't been socialized outside of our home. She's fine if I let someone in the house (except one neighbor that she totally hates, but I could understand it cuz the woman is a bit of a loon), but when she sees someone outside or another dog, she gets really defensive and her haunches go up.... don't know how she'll be if it's not her territory. I guess someday I'll find out won't I.

I finally got a cheap webcam and am able to take videos. I put this on YouTube so you can see it. Some of it is a little blurry because at times they were moving too fast, and like I said... it's a cheap camera. Also, the part where it looks like the house is spinning is when they got so close to me, I tried to move away from them so I could catch the shot. Sorry... hope you don't get seasick. LOL Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45rE1gzfGMM

Gidget (the bufday gurl)

Hey Cindy...

Tell the boys I said thanks for trying to talk some sense into this little one. Mike has been trying to teach her for the longest time, but the only thing she's really learned from him is that it's fun to go for a ride in the car. Oh my... will she ever learn??? (wrong question cuz I know she already has learned.. I guess the question would be... will she ever "do" what she's learned and behave?)

Give the boys hugs from me.

Gotta get going. I'm going to the threads now to check and see how you all are doing. Give all the furkids hugs from me.

Love & Blessings

HAPPY BURFDAY GIDGET!!!!

We sooo glads u made it to one years old. LOL.
We hopes u learns to go pee outside. U big gurl now, we tinks u can stop tat ole peeing inside-k?

Love, Tuckie and Justice (and mommy)

splight, the boys just turned 6yo and 8yo--it's even hard for me to believe they are not still babies. Vets say "senior", etc.--it just doesn't seem possible.
It makes me so sad that the boys are 6 and 8...and yet I am so grateful they are--if u guys know what I mean. Tuck wasn't expected to live past his first BD.
We have had many close calls with both-so I shouldn't be sad at their ages -but I am.
Jo, hold that baby close--and I wish she would not get any older--well maybe a little. LOL.
Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Jo and kids,

Happy Birthday Gidget! I believer I just caught the boys leaving you a birthday wish too. You ask how I know this? They always fight over the keyboard!

I can hardly believe Buddy will be 4 on October 6th! He's been home with me 16 months. But still, can't believer he'll be 4 already. Sunny is still 1 till December, I don't want him to grow up either!

Ah, those Westie eyes! They speak volumes with their eyes and a head tilt or ear flick!
