Mike has been quite lethargic today and has only gotten up to go outside. After he went out this morning for the second time, he did take his pills with some chicken. I was worried he was going to purge it, but he managed to keep it down. He's also lost his bladder three times today (not including last night), and it's so sad to see this when it happens.
Gidget has been a good girl today.. I'm grateful for small favors.
Please say a little prayer for my handsome boy. He's got to feel better... he's just got to.

It was a very difficult night. Mike ate his chicken last night around 8:00. He seemed fine. Around 9:00, he started getting very depressed acting then started searching for a place to purge. His search wasn't as frantic as it normally is when he has an upset stomach, and I was able to sit on the floor and cuddle and calm him until the feeling passed. We sat together for over an hour, and I was just so glad he settled a bit. Miss Gidget wanted to play the whole time and kept bringing her toys to me and putting her paws on my shoulder so I would throw them for her. I couldn't just push her away, so for the most part I was cuddling and petting Mike with one hand while playing with her with the other.
At 4:15, I woke up to get some water. I found Mike had lost his bladder with a lake in the bathroom and the hallway. My poor boy. As I was cleaning it, he woke up and watched me and then proceeded to reverse sneezing for a bit. I let him outside, and when he came back in.. he got sick. He only searched for a short time and found his way to purge in front of my desk (on the westie baby).
My heart is heavy today, and I'm praying he will be better. It's too early to tell because he went out this morning and went right back to sleep (which is normal for him). He will probably sleep another hour or so before getting up for the day. I'll have to post again later to let you all know how he's doing.
I'm going to try to make him some baked potatoes later today and see if he will eat some. I'm afraid he's losing too much more weight already since all he's been eating is meat. Heck, if that's all I ate, I'm sure I'd lose weight too. I've got to get him to eat something with a bit more substance.
Hi Jen, Thanks for stopping in. I'm praying that Emma doesn't need another surgery. Give her a hug from me and some nose kisses from the Westies.
I hope everyone has a beautiful day.
Take Care and God Bless

Joanna,
I am so glad to hear that mike is feeling better. It sounds like you guys have been having a couple of good days. I really hope that herbal extract helps mike. Poor guy I dont blame him for not wanting to wear diapers. I know emma would chew them right off. I sure know that yip yip sound. My chihuahua biscotti does that all the time. Especially when emma has something that he wants. It was cute at first but now he gets going sometimes and doesnt want to stop. I pray thay mike keeps having good days. Thank you for stopping in to check on emma. We are really hoping that things go well. A different surgeon did this surgery and I am not as impressed with him. Our regular surgeon Dr. Butler is retiring. I am really sad to hear that because he truly is wonderful at what he does.
Lots of love and aussie hugs,
Jennifer and Emma
