A huge rumble of thunder just rolled over and woke both the kids up with a start. Little Miss Gidget got her hackles up and let the thunder know that it just wasn't acceptable. Mr. Mike took it all in stride, of course he did wake up and starting defending his sister's opinion on it all, but when he realized it was only thunder.. he went back to sleep.

Just as the small group broke up last night and everyone was leaving, I got a phone call from Debbie telling me about sweet Mollie leaving for the Rainbow Bridge. I can't tell you how shocked and sad this news was.. it just knocked us off our feet. My prayers go out to Gail. She was the best Mom beautiful Mollie could ever have chosen.

I haven't heard anything from either of the companies about working for them yet. It would be sooooo nice to have a bit of income so I could breath a little easier.

It's storming pretty hard right now, so I'm going to get off the computer. Everything is ok today with Mike, and I'm extremely grateful. I'll write later if anything comes up.

Love and Blessings to All

Hi Joanna!
I kind of know you through IMOM (amysgh7) and I have frequently visited Mike's page to check on him. Today I did a little more reading (rather than finishing my writing portfolio that is due by tonight) and learned that we have a lot in common. Clearly we have our love of animals. But I saw where you were a very strong Christian as well. My relationship with Christ is the number one thing in my life. I honestly do not understand how non-believers are able to cope with today's world because my faith and my relationship with God is what gets me through everyday. I also read your post about your cancer. My only thoughts were "How great is our God!" My family has had a similar incident. When I was in the 7th grade, my father was crushed between 2 dumptrucks. He suffered major internal damage as well. In fact, his colon was torn loose from his aorta. The drs said that if the aorta is even slightly cut, you should die in 3 minutes. Well I serve a huge God and so does my father. He survived this accident. He is alive to tell about it today. He lives with unbelievable pain, but what matters is he lives! He is a true miracle of God, as are you.

I hope that we become great friends!

Amy
